Another busy month for RacehorseClub - July Review

Weatherby’s Super Sprint Day at Newbury Racecourse
July has been another busy month for RacehorseClub which has included sponsoring a race on Weatherby’s Super Sprint Day at Newbury Racecourse as well as sponsoring a hole at the hugely successful Racing Welfare and Injured Jockeys Fund Charity Golf Day at the famous Woburn Golf Club. Sporting superstars such as Stuart Broad, James Anderson and Frankie Dettori hit the fairways on a truly memorable day.
RacehorseClub members visit The Lir Jet
Over fifty RacehorseClub members of The Lir Jet enjoyed a stable visit to Michael Bell’s, Fitzroy House in Newmarket to see their horse as well as a trip up the famous Warren Hill gallops to see The Lir Jet being put through his paces. RacehorseClub’s Ed Chamberlin and Freddie Tylicki were on hand to meet and greet guests. After the stable visit, members then enjoyed a private tour of the National Stud.
More RacehorsClub stable visits planned
Stable visits in Ireland are firmly in the pipeline to meet Johnny Murtagh and Create Belief as well as meeting Balko Des Flos at Henry De Bromhead’s yard. A stable visit will also take place to see Potters Corner which will include watching him exercise on the famous Ogmore beach next to Christian Williams’ yard. Dates are to be confirmed shortly.
Royal Ascot winning Create Belief looking at group races
RacehorseClub’s Royal Ascot winning superstar Create Belief is due to be back out onto the racecourse shortly. Due to recent heat waves in England and Ireland she missed possible engagements due to unsuitable quick ground. Her trainer Johnny Murtagh reports her to be in fantastic form and is desperate to get a run into her. She is rated 110 which is a mightily impressive handicap mark and group races are in her sights.
Gelding good for The Lir Jet
The Lir Jet is due to run at Newbury on 14th August in the Hungerford Stakes, a Group 2 race over seven furlongs. He has come out of his gelding operation very well and is reported to be in great form by his trainer Michael Bell.
Our Grand National 2nd
Grand National runner-up Balko Des Flos is back at Henry De Bromhead’s yard after enjoying a well-deserved holiday at Peter Molony’s Rathmore Stud. Henry is delighted with how much weight Balko has put on and he is back into exercise for the upcoming jumps season. Cheltenham cross country races and a repeat bid in the Aintree Grand National will be his main targets.
Potters Corner unleashed
Potters Corner has been in training for a couple of weeks now and leads Christian Williams’ string each morning. Christian reports he retains all his old enthusiasm and is really looking forward to a big season ahead. His main target will be the Welsh Grand National, a race he won in 2019.
RacehorseClub members have all the fun!
