Balko Des Flos to return to Henry De Bromhead’s yard this week

Balko Des Flos’s summer holiday comes to an end this week as he returns to Henry De Bromhead’s yard.
The 2021 Grand National runner-up will start the 2021/22 National Hunt season on a rating of 157 and the Cheltenham cross country races will be his main aims with the Grand National once again his end of season target.
The former Cheltenham Festival and Galway Plate winner is reported to have “summered extremely well and put on plenty of weight” according to Peter Molony who has been overseeing his holiday at Rathmore Stud.
Henry De Bromhead said “I’m really looking forward to welcoming Balko Des Flos back into the yard in preparation for the season ahead. Peter Molony is very happy with him so it’ll be great to get cracking again. He’s a real yard favourite so I’m sure my staff will be delighted to see him back. I’m really looking forward to the campaign ahead and I’m sure he’s still got some massive runs in him as we saw at Aintree in the Grand National. I’m also looking forward to welcoming RacehorseClub members to the yard later in the year.”
