Create Belief retired due to career-ending injury

It is with great regret we must inform RacehorseClub members that Create Belief has been retired from racing due to a recent career-ending injury.

Create Belief’s members have been given a full report in their members area on the RacehorseClub website.

RacehorseClub’s Freddy Tylicki said; “It is with great sadness we report Create Belief has been forced to retire from racing due to a recent injury. She came back into training with Johnny Murtagh before the new year but, unfortunately, she’s since picked up a career-ending injury.

She gave RacehorseClub our first ever winner at the Curragh in a premier handicap in May before winning the Sandringham Stakes at Royal Ascot, just over three months after launching. She went on to win the Group 3 Desmond Stakes on her next start at Leopardstown. She was officially rated 110 and had a Timeform rating of 116, which shows how good she was. Her performance at Royal Ascot was remarkable and a day her members will never forget. She will now go to Tweenhills and a decision will be made as to which stallion she will be covered by.

RacehorseClub members can now look forward to following her career as a broodmare and hopefully we can enjoy having her offspring in RacehorseClub silks in the years to come.”

Create Belief’s trainer Johnny Murtagh said; “It’s very disappointing that Create Belief has had to be retired but listening to veterinary advice and speaking to the team at RacehorseClub, unfortunately this decision had to be made in the best interest of Create Belief.

She will always be a special racehorse to me as she was my first Royal Ascot winner as a trainer and she gave RacehorseClub members three amazing days last summer winning at the Curragh, Royal Ascot and Leopardstown.

I’m sure she will be a hugely successful broodmare as her attitude both on and off the racecourse was fantastic, and I look forward to seeing her offspring in the future.”
