How Much Does It Cost To Join The Syndicate?

Racing Club have various options to suit all budgets, with shares starting from just £25. They do offer a VIP service too, with shares starting from £2,000 in their VIP horses. It's also worth noting that the first-year costs are higher as the cost includes the purchase price of the horse. In the following years, the renewal cost will be lower as you will have already purchased your share in the horse, so you will only need to pay for training/management fees.

How Much Does A Syndicate Term Last?

The Syndicate Term lasts for one year, with the term end date clearly advertised on the horse profiles. The Syndicate Term is set, so the term will finish at the same time for everyone, regardless of when you joined during the Syndicate Term - for example, if the term ends on 31st December and you purchased your share on 1st October, the Syndicate Term will still end on 31st December.

At the end of the Syndicate Term, you will have the option to renew your shares for the next Syndicate Term, or you can leave the syndicate. If you do renew your share, you will pay a one-off cost again (which will be less than your first year costs, as you will have already paid for your share in the horse). The costs for the renewal cover training/management fees for the next Syndicate Term.

Which Syndicate Should You Choose?

There are so many horse racing syndicates now that it might be difficult to decide on which option is best for you. Each syndicate offers a similar package, but each will have its own pros and cons to joining them. We believe the key benefits to consider when choosing the right syndicate for you are:

One-Off Cost - It's good to know that you will have no additional costs to pay during the Syndicate Term, so with a one-off cost you know that is all you will be paying for.

High-Quality Horses - You want to pick a syndicate that has a record of producing winners. Racing Club has the likes of Wendigo, Handlethekettle and Spirit Of Summer available to buy shares in, who are all high-quality and have already won races and are likely to race at the big festivals throughout the year, including Cheltenham Festival and Royal Ascot.

Communication - You want to ensure you are receiving regular updates on your horse, as communication is a key aspect to being a horse racing owner. You should be looking at a syndicate that sends out regular updates on your horse, as well as raceday updates from the trainer and jockey - something that Racing Club does offer.

Community - Joining a syndicate means joining a community of like-minded individuals who enjoy horse racing and want to feel closer to the action. Racing Club offers WhatsApp groups and a community group on Facebook, allowing all members to discuss the horses and share their opinions.

Enjoyable Experience - Being a part of a horse racing syndicate should be good fun, which is something Racing Club excels at. With the opportunity to join a community and join up with fellow members at events, as well as the chance win hospitality tickets to various venues across the UK, they ensure all members have an enjoyable experience.

Conclusion

Joining a horse racing syndicate is a fantastic way of feeling even closer to the action, and with the likes of Racing Club making it an affordable option, they appear to be the future of horse racing ownership. Cheering on a horse that you're a part owner in can give you unforgettable moments and is something we would recommend all horse racing fans to experience, and thanks to syndicates this is now an affordable option for everyone. If you're looking for the best syndicate for you to join, we strongly recommend Racing Club, who despite only forming in September 2023, appear to be making a big name for themselves and are receiving positive reviews from their current members.
