Sean Curran
“I’m delighted to be training for RacehorseClub. Since launching in 2021 they have been incredibly successful worldwide giving racing fans opportunities which previously have been nearly impossible. I feel we’ll have a lot of fun together and hopefully a few winners along the way.”

Profile
Sean Curran was a successful National Hunt jockey riding over 150 winners. His father and grandfather both worked for the great Paddy Mullins. Career highlights in the saddle for Sean include winning the marathon Eider Chase at Newcastle for the great racing character the late John ‘Mad’ Manners for whom he also partnered Killeshin to finish sixth and seventh in the Grand National.
After a serious schooling accident in which he split his liver, punctured his stomach, and suffered a collapsed lung, Sean turned to training.
He has enjoyed many big race winners highlighted by Iris De Balme who won the Scottish Grand National at odds of 66/1 in 2008 ridden by Charlie Huxley. Sean surrendered his licence in 2011 when he went to work on building sites.
The racing bug remained, however, and he made his way back into racing via a horse transport business and began training again in November 2018. Upon his return to the training ranks, Sean’s flagbearer has been Domaine De L’Isle who joined his yard rated 122 but under Sean’s guidance improved to a career high rating of 149.
